Live Availability for Holiday Rentals, Synced With Airbnb and Booking

If you rent a gîte, a cabin or a flat through Airbnb or Booking.com, your own website has always had one missing piece: it could not tell a visitor which nights are free. Guests had to leave for the platform to find out, and the platform kept the booking.
That piece is now built into Looops. Ask the assistant for an availability calendar, paste the calendar link each platform gives you, and your site shows booked and free nights, takes a request for free dates, and lets you accept or decline with one click. Here is what it does, how the setup goes, and what it cannot do.
What your site can do now
Once the calendar is on, four things happen inside your website, with no extra subscription:
- A calendar per property with booked nights greyed out, read from your Airbnb and Booking.com calendars (and any other calendar link, such as Google Calendar or Gîtes de France).
- A request form: a guest picks free dates and sends their name, email and message. Nothing is booked until you say so.
- An email to you with Accept and Decline buttons, an acknowledgement to the guest, and your decision sent to the guest after your click.
- A private admin page on your site with every request, every accepted stay, and a way to block dates by hand.
How the setup goes
You tell the assistant how many properties you have and their names. It installs the calendar, then asks for one link per property and platform. Each link comes from the platform's own "export calendar" screen: on Airbnb it is under Availability settings, on Booking.com under Sync calendars. You paste the links into a secure card in Looops, never into the chat.
The assistant then checks every link and tells you what it found, for example "link valid, 14 booked periods, next check-out 12 September". If a link was copied wrong or has expired, it says so and points you at the guide. The whole setup is a few minutes per property.
The step-by-step guide with the exact clicks is in the docs: Connect your Airbnb and Booking.com calendars.
Built into your site, not bolted on
This is not a widget from a third party. The calendar, the request form and the admin page are code inside your website, running on your own domain. Your calendar links are stored as private settings of your site, and if you ever move your website elsewhere, the same settings make it work there too. There is no monthly fee for the feature and no per-booking commission.
The honest limit: platform calendars are not instant
Airbnb and Booking.com refresh their calendar links on their own schedule, from every 15 minutes up to about 3 hours. Your site re-reads them every 10 minutes. So a booking made on Airbnb can take a few hours to show as booked on your site. Every tool that works from these links has the same delay, whatever it promises.
That is why requests are confirmed by you rather than booked instantly: you get a quick look at the platform calendar before you click Accept, and a double booking cannot slip through unnoticed. Online payments and deposits are not part of this first version; you agree on payment with the guest as you do today.
Who this is for
Owners of one to a handful of properties who already list on Airbnb or Booking.com and want their own website to do more than link back to the platforms: show availability, collect direct requests, and keep the guest relationship. It was built with a gîte owner in the Ardèche as the first user, three properties on two platforms.
If you have a website on Looops with the backend enabled, ask the assistant for the calendar today. If you are starting from scratch, describe your rental and let the assistant build the site first; the calendar is one more request away.
