Hostinger Horizons Is Gone: What Happened and What to Use Instead

Hostinger Horizons was the vibe-coding tool in Hostinger's lineup: describe an app or a website in chat, watch it get built, publish it on Hostinger hosting. In August 2026 Hostinger merged it with its drag-and-drop Website Builder into a single product called Hostinger AI Builder. The Horizons name, its separate plans, and its credit tiers are gone.
If you were a Horizons user, or were about to sign up, this guide explains what changed, what it costs now, how to get your code out, and which alternatives fit each kind of project. Facts were verified in September 2026 on Hostinger's own pages.
What actually changed
Horizons had its own plans, from about $7 a month, with a monthly message allowance and a 7-day trial. After the merge:
- The product is Hostinger AI Builder, with two modes: an agentic chat mode (the former Horizons) and a classic drag-and-drop editor (the former Website Builder).
- AI credits are bundled into hosting plans instead of sold as separate Horizons tiers. Premium is $2.99 a month introductory (about $11.99 at renewal) with 3 sites and 5 AI credits; Unlimited is $3.99 (about $18.99 at renewal) with unlimited sites, 15 AI credits and 500 agent credits; Cloud Startup is $7.99 (about $27.99 at renewal).
- There is a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee, but no free plan.
- Every plan includes a custom domain free for the first year, hosting, and SSL.
Can you export your Horizons project?
Yes, and this is worth doing before anything else. In Hostinger AI Builder's agentic mode, open the project, go to the Code tab and choose Export code. You get a zip of a Node.js project built with React and Vite. Two limits, both from Hostinger's own help pages: once exported, the project cannot be imported back into the builder to keep prompting, and sites made in the classic editor cannot export their design at all, only pages, text and images.
If your project matters, export a copy now and keep it. It is the difference between owning the work and renting it. For how the new Hostinger plans compare on price with every other builder, including renewal rates, see our website builder pricing comparison.

1. Looops: best for the websites people built with Horizons
Most Horizons projects were websites, not apps: a landing page, a small business site, a portfolio. That is exactly what Looops does. You describe the site in chat and an AI agent designs and builds it as real Next.js code, with a database, forms that email you, a built-in CMS, and hosting on your own domain. You keep iterating in chat, or click any element and say what to change.
Compared with Horizons, the model does not stop at generation: the agent checks its own work, fixes errors, and can keep building for weeks. Pricing is flat rather than introductory, and paid plans include code export, so the site is yours in the same way a Horizons export was, without the one-way door.
- Best for: small businesses, freelancers and creatives who want a finished, live website.
- Pro: an AI agent builds and keeps refining the whole site; database, forms and CMS included.
- Pro: free plan to build and publish on a subdomain; flat pricing with no renewal jump.
- Pro: export your code on paid plans and host it anywhere.
- Con: built for websites, not for general-purpose software or mobile apps.
- Price: free to start; Personal $12/mo billed yearly with a custom domain.
2. Lovable: best for web apps
If your Horizons project was an app rather than a site, a dashboard, a tool with user accounts, something with real data, Lovable is the closest fit. It generates full-stack web apps from chat, syncs the code to GitHub, and connects to Supabase for the backend. The free plan gives five build credits a day; Pro is $25 a month with 100 credits and custom domains.
Budget for the backend too: a production app usually needs a paid Supabase plan on top.
- Best for: founders and makers building software, not brochure sites.
- Pro: real full-stack apps; code lives in your GitHub.
- Pro: free plan; Pro at $25/mo.
- Con: credit-based, and complex apps burn credits fast.
- Con: hosting a real app adds Supabase costs.
- Price: free plan; Pro from $25/mo.
3. Hostinger AI Builder: best if you want to stay put
If you are happy on Hostinger hosting and your site is done, staying is the low-effort option. The agentic mode is Horizons under a new name, with AI credits bundled into your hosting plan. The introductory price is very low; budget for the renewal rate instead.
- Best for: existing Hostinger customers with a finished site.
- Pro: cheapest entry price, hosting and a first-year domain included.
- Pro: code export in agentic mode.
- Con: no free plan; introductory prices roughly quadruple at renewal.
- Con: exported projects cannot come back into the builder.
- Price: from $2.99/mo introductory, about $11.99/mo at renewal.
4. Durable: best for an instant service-business site
Durable generates a basic business site in under a minute and bundles a CRM, invoicing, bookings and AI marketing tools. It now has a free plan on a durable.site subdomain; the Launch plan at $22 a month billed yearly adds a custom domain and removes Durable branding.
The sites are shallow to customise and look alike, and there is no code export at all.
- Best for: solo service providers who want something live today with a CRM attached.
- Pro: free plan; fastest time to a published site.
- Con: limited design control; no code export or portability.
- Price: free plan; Launch from about $22/mo billed yearly.
5. Framer: best for designers
Framer is a design tool that publishes fast websites. It has an AI starting point, but its strength is hands-on design and motion. Free plan on a Framer domain; Basic at $10 a month adds a custom domain.
- Best for: designers who want to craft the site themselves.
- Pro: free plan; excellent animation tooling.
- Con: you do the design work; no code export.
- Price: free plan; Basic from about $10/mo billed yearly.
