Google Analytics
Looops sets up Google Analytics for your site in one click and adds it to every page for you. No measurement ID to copy, no code to paste.
You do not add Google Analytics to a Looops site by hand. Press Connect Google once and Looops sets it up, adds it to every page and shows the numbers in the Growth tab.
Google Analytics is part of the paid plans (Personal and Pro).
Set it up
- In the builder, open Growth → Visitors and press Connect Google.
- Sign in with your Google account and allow Looops to use Google Analytics and Search Console for your site.
- Looops picks the right setup:
- You already use Google Analytics for this site's address: Looops uses it.
- You use Google Analytics for other sites: Looops creates one for this site in your account.
- You have never used Google Analytics: Google asks you to accept its terms once (one button), then Looops creates it.
- Looops adds Google's tag to every page of your published site within a couple of minutes. You do not need to publish again.
Your Google Analytics lives in your own Google account. You can open it at analytics.google.com at any time, and it stays yours if you disconnect.
Already pasted a Google Analytics code?
If your site's code already loads Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, the SEO check lists it under Google tags. Once Google is connected, press Fix with Looops and the old code is removed, so visits are not counted twice. Looops also leaves out its own tag on pages that already load the same Google Analytics.
Please do not ask the Looops AI to paste Google Analytics or Tag Manager code into your site: Looops adds Google's tags itself, and the AI will point you to Connect Google instead.
Events
Google Analytics records common actions by itself: page views, scrolls, clicks on links to other sites, file downloads and site searches. You see them under Events in Growth → Visitors, and in full detail in Google Analytics.
Cookie consent
Google Analytics uses cookies. Where the law asks for visitors' consent first, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, informing your visitors and asking for consent is your responsibility as the site owner.
Search Console
The same connection sets up Google Search Console for your site. See Google Search Console.
