Email at your domain with Google Workspace

Get an address like hello@yourbusiness.com using Google Workspace. You sign up with Google, Looops adds the settings on your domain.

If you bought your domain inside Looops, you can have a proper email address at it, like hello@yourbusiness.com, and read it in Gmail. Google charges for the mailbox. Looops puts the settings on your domain for you, so you never touch DNS records.

This page is for domains bought inside Looops. If you connected a domain you own elsewhere, the settings live at your own provider and you add them there.

What it costs

Google Workspace starts at roughly $7 a month per person. You pay Google, not us. If you want something cheaper, Zoho Mail has a free option for a small team.

Step 1: sign up with Google

1

Start a Google Workspace account

Go to workspace.google.com and click Get started. Choose the smallest plan; you can change it later.

2

Say you already have a domain

When Google asks about your domain, choose Yes, I have one I can use and type your domain exactly as you bought it, without www.

3

Create your first address

Pick the address you want, for example hello or your first name, and set a password. Google will ask you to confirm you own the domain next.

Step 2: let Looops add the settings

1

Copy the code Google shows you

On the verification screen Google gives you a line starting with google-site-verification=. Copy it. If Google offers a different way to verify, the code is under the option called Add a TXT record.

2

Open your domain settings in Looops

Click your project name (top left), choose Website settings, then Domain. Find your domain and click Email & records, then Connect a mailbox and pick Google Workspace.

3

Paste the code and click Add the settings

That is the last thing you do on our side. Looops adds the mail settings and the sending setting for you.

4

Go back to Google and click Verify

It is usually instant, sometimes a few minutes. Once Google confirms the domain, your new address works.

One more thing worth doing

Google can sign your outgoing mail so it is less likely to be treated as spam. In the Google admin console, open Apps, then Google Workspace, then Gmail, then Authenticate email, and click Generate new record. Copy what it gives you and send it to us, and we will add it to your domain.

If your site sends form messages

Your website can send you a message every time someone fills in a form. Once your new address works, you can switch those messages over: Website settings, then Email and Forms. Until the address works, keep an address you can already read, otherwise those messages have nowhere to go.
