Project Transfer

Hand a finished website to a client or move it to another Looops account. The website, its domain settings, and its data move together, and the recipient approves before anything changes.

Built a website for someone else? Transfer it to them. Agencies and freelancers use this to hand a finished site to the client, who then owns it fully: the website, its domain settings, and its data (content, form submissions, everything) move together.

How it works

1

Start the transfer

In the builder, click your project name (top left) → Website settingsTransfer, then Transfer this project and enter the recipient.

2

They approve

The recipient gets a transfer request and approves it from their account. Nothing moves until they do, and the request expires after 7 days if they don't.

3

It's theirs

The project appears in their account with everything intact. They can keep building on it, publish, and manage the domain themselves.

Who can transfer

  • Sending requires the Pro plan (and being the Owner of the workspace).
  • Receiving works on any paid plan, Personal or Pro, as long as the plan has room for the project.

Good to know

  • Live sites stay live through the transfer; visitors notice nothing.
  • After the transfer, the site builds against the new owner's credits and plan limits.
  • A typical agency flow: build on your Pro plan, share the preview link for feedback, then transfer when the client is happy. See Build websites for clients with AI for the full workflow.
