Email at your domain with Zoho Mail
Get an address like hello@yourbusiness.com using Zoho Mail, free for a small team. You sign up with Zoho, Looops adds the settings on your domain.
If you bought your domain inside Looops, you can have a proper email address at it, like hello@yourbusiness.com. Zoho Mail is the cheapest way to do it: their smallest plan is free for a few people. Looops puts the settings on your domain for you, so you never touch DNS records.
This page is for domains bought inside Looops. If you connected a domain you own elsewhere, the settings live at your own provider and you add them there.
What it costs
Zoho Mail has a free plan that covers a small team with one domain, and paid plans from about $1 a month per person. You pay Zoho, not us.
Step 1: sign up with Zoho
Create a Zoho Mail account
Go to zoho.com/mail and choose the plan you want. The free one is under Pricing, called Forever Free.
Add your domain
Choose Sign up with a domain I already own and type your domain exactly as you bought it, without www.
Pick the verification method that uses a code
Zoho offers several ways to prove you own the domain. Choose TXT method and leave the screen open: the code is what you paste into Looops next.
Step 2: let Looops add the settings
Copy the code from Zoho
It looks like zoho-verification=zb12345678.zmverify.zoho.com. Copy the whole thing.
Open your domain settings in Looops
Click your project name (top left), choose Website settings, then Domain. Find your domain and click Email & records, then Connect a mailbox and pick Zoho Mail.
Paste the code and click Add the settings
Looops adds the mail settings and the sending setting for you. That is the last thing you do on our side.
Back in Zoho, click Verify, then create your address
Verification is usually quick. Then Zoho asks you to create your first mailbox, for example hello. Your address works once that is done.
One more thing worth doing
Zoho can sign your outgoing mail so it is less likely to be treated as spam. In the Zoho admin console, open Domains, then your domain, then Email Configuration, then DKIM, and generate a record. Send us what it gives you and we will add it to your domain.
If your site sends form messages
Your website can send you a message every time someone fills in a form. Once your new address works, you can switch those messages over: Website settings, then Email and Forms. Until the address works, keep an address you can already read, otherwise those messages have nowhere to go.
